Fipronil Pesticide Statement – August 2017

As you may be aware, a number of egg producers in The Netherlands which have been stopped from supplying Eggs for human consumption due to the contamination of Fipronil.
Fipronil is a pesticide which is used to control ticks, lice and fleas in domestic pets however it is prohibited for use on food producing animals and crops in the EU.
I can confirm we have no eggs on site from The Netherlands nor are any Dutch eggs used in any of our other ingredients, including Mayonnaise. Furthermore, I can confirm our site has never processed eggs from the farm X-EN-40155XX identified by the Dutch Food & Product Safety Board (NVWA).
All of our EU suppliers have confirmed that their farms only use approved pest control treatments and we are currently in the process of obtaining up to date pesticide residue testing results from across our supplier base.
